Changelog
Every important update to Dofus Builds, newest first.
Auto-Builder: target one element’s resistance, and a clearer padlock August 30, 2026
- NewMain characteristics now include the five individual %-resistances — Neutral, Earth, Fire, Water and Air — next to the existing Resistance % row, which targets the total. Ask for Fire resistance alone and the optimizer piles it into Fire instead of spreading resistance evenly across the five elements, which is what you want when you are building against one specific match-up.
- ImprovedBuilding no longer freezes the page. The solver used to run on the same thread as the interface, so for a few seconds nothing responded — no scrolling, no closing the window — and it felt like the site had crashed. It now runs in the background, with a spinner that actually spins and tells you what is happening (reading the item database, optimizing, applying the build).
- NewThe Auto-Builder now remembers everything you typed — level, AP/MP/Range, exos, every slider and padlock, and both item lists — so a reload no longer sends you back to a blank form. A new “Clear all” button next to Build resets the whole thing to its defaults when you want a fresh start.
- ImprovedThe Auto-Builder now explains the padlock next to each row: without it the number is only a priority and the result may land above or below it; with it ticked the build must reach at least that value, and the optimizer tells you when no combination can.
New: build guides explaining how the game actually calculates August 18, 2026
- NewA Guides section is now live, linked in the footer. Five in-depth articles cover the systems behind every number the calculator shows: the full damage formula step by step with a worked example, what characteristic points cost and how scrolling changes the maths, percentage versus fixed resistances, exos and forgemagie (including the 85% you pay to change a weapon’s element), and why set bonus tiers do not stack. There is also a new About page describing where the item and spell data comes from.
The Auto-Builder now always spends your characteristic points August 16, 2026
- FixedWhen your targets did not include a characteristic — asking only for Fire damage, Resistance %, Lock or Critical, for example — the Auto-Builder equipped the gear but left every characteristic point unspent (995 of them at level 200). It now always allocates the whole budget, following what you asked for: Fire damage feeds Intelligence, Water damage Chance, Lock and Dodge Agility, the parries and reductions Wisdom, Initiative all four — and Vitality when nothing else fits.
The Auto-Builder works again August 11, 2026
- FixedThe Auto-Builder failed to start and showed "Optimizer failed to load. Please reload the page." — reloading never helped. Its solver was being looked for at the wrong address on every language page, so it never loaded. Fixed: the Auto-Builder now opens and runs normally in all languages.
Forgemage on pets, and a fix to how forgemage counts August 9, 2026
- NewThe Pet / Mount slot now accepts forgemage, like every other slot — click the 🔨 on the equipped pet.
- FixedForgemage was ADDING to the original value instead of replacing it, on any line that carries a single fixed value rather than a range. An item giving 40 Critical Damage, forgemaged to 33, was counted as 73. It affected thousands of item lines across boots, hats, amulets, rings, belts, cloaks and trophies — so if you had forgemaged one of those, your build was showing more than it really had. The numbers are correct now, which means some saved builds will show lower totals than before: those totals were wrong.
The site now has an address for each language August 7, 2026
- NewEnglish, French, Portuguese, Spanish and German each live at their own address now — dofusbuilds.com/en/, /fr/, /pt/, /es/ and /de/. Typing dofusbuilds.com on its own sends you straight to your language, picked from your browser, and once you have chosen a language yourself your choice always wins. Build links you share carry the language with them, so the link you send opens in the same language you were using. Links you shared before this change keep working exactly as they did. Public Builds, this changelog and the guide have their own per-language addresses too.
- ImprovedSigning in with Discord or Google now brings you back to the page in your language instead of dropping you on the English one.
Class names are now translated in every language August 5, 2026
- FixedDofus gives every class its own name per language — Iop is “Yopuka” in Spanish, Rogue is “Ladino” in Portuguese, Masqueraider is “Zobal” in French. The site was built in English first and showed the English name to everyone. Now the class picker, the class filter on Public Builds, the Spells window and the exported build image all use the name your language actually uses, taken straight from the game data. The lists are also re-sorted alphabetically for your language.
Undo now brings your whole build back after a Reset August 5, 2026
- ImprovedThe Undo button only ever restored equipment, so a Reset still cost you the characteristic points you had distributed and your class. Now one click of Undo (↶) brings the whole thing back: gear, dofus, trophies, forgemage edits, allocated characteristics, scrolls, exos and the class portrait. Everyday undo is unchanged — undoing an item swap still leaves your characteristics exactly where you put them. Only the Craft Zone is not restored.
- ImprovedThe beta page is now a full mirror of the main site. It had fallen far behind and was missing Undo/Redo, the Craft Zone, the Auto-Builder, Spells, Features and Export — everything is there now, and it will stay in step from here on.
Reset now asks before wiping your build August 5, 2026
- ImprovedThere were two Reset buttons — one in the top bar and one in the Character Panel — and either one wiped everything instantly, with no way back. A misclick cost you the whole build. The top bar button is gone, and the one in the Character Panel now opens a confirmation window that spells out exactly what is about to be erased: equipment, dofus, trophies, forgemage edits, allocated characteristics, class and the Craft Zone. Builds saved to your account are never touched.
Login, My Builds and My Account now speak your language August 4, 2026
- FixedEverything around your account was still in English: the login and sign-up window, the My Builds cards (Load, Make public, the Stats/Damage/Resistance headers), the Save Build window and the whole My Account screen, error messages included. It is all translated now, in every language the site supports.
Your class portrait is back on the My Builds cards August 4, 2026
- FixedPublic Builds showed each build with its class portrait, but the cards in My Builds did not — you got the gear and the stat panels with an empty gap where the character should be. The portrait is now on both, animated or static exactly as you saved it. Nothing to redo: the class was always stored with the build, so every build you already have shows it right away.
The item pickers are now fully translated August 4, 2026
- FixedThe equipment, pet/mount, weapon and dofus pickers still showed English everywhere except the buttons: the window title, the search box, the category tabs and the Cancel button. Item types on the cards were English too — a Petsmount stayed "Petsmount" no matter which language you picked. All of it now follows your language, using the official in-game type names (Montilier, Montascote, Mascotura, Reitbegleiter…).
Auto-Builder: locked characteristics now count Power August 4, 2026
- FixedLocking a minimum on Strength, Intelligence, Chance or Agility (the 🔒 checkbox) only counted the raw characteristic, so a build showing 1131 ⚡ in the Stats panel was reported as "831 / 1000" and the optimizer kept hunting for raw points it did not need. Power adds damage exactly like a point of the characteristic, so those locks now use the same characteristic + Power total the panel shows — which is also what the sliders were already optimizing.
Scrolls are no longer all-or-nothing August 4, 2026
- ImprovedThe scroll column in the Stats panel used to be a checkbox: on meant exactly +100, off meant 0, with nothing in between. It is now a box you type into, so a half-scrolled character can be built honestly — 55 Strength scrolls, 7 Chance, whatever you actually have. The footer control became two buttons, 0 and 100, that fill the whole column at once. Existing builds are untouched: everything that was scrolled loads back at 100.
No more accidental duplicate builds August 3, 2026
- ImprovedSaving the exact same build twice used to create two separate entries, cluttering your build list and the Public Builds page. Now the second save tells you which one you already have instead. Two different players can still share an identical build — that is legitimate, and both still show up.
Dofus, Trophies and Prysmaradites now respect your level August 3, 2026
- FixedThe Dofus picker was listing everything regardless of your character level, so a level-110 build was still offered level-200 Prysmaradites and high-level Dofus it could never equip — 133 unwearable entries at that level. It now hides what you are too low to wear, the same rule the equipment picker and the sets browser already followed. Thanks to the player who reported it on Reddit.
Auto-Builder: required and forbidden items August 3, 2026
- NewThe Auto-Builder has a new Items section with two boxes. Required items pins gear into the build — add the Nomarow Helmet and every build the optimizer assembles will be built around it. Forbidden items does the opposite: whatever you drop in there is never considered. Both work together with your stat targets and the 🔒 requirements.
- ImprovedThe Auto-Builder now prefers balanced resistances. It used to score only the total, so 10/10/10/10/10 and 0/0/50/0/0 looked identical to it — now an even spread wins, because the element you left at zero is the one that kills you. More total resistance still wins when it’s a real gain, and the score for an already-balanced build is unchanged, so nothing else about your builds shifts.
- FixedThe Auto-Builder no longer equips trophies it isn’t allowed to wear. Trophies restricted to “fewer than N active set bonuses” were counted wrong — a 3-piece set plus a 4-piece set counted as 2 bonuses instead of 5 — so those trophies landed in the build and came back outlined in red. They are now counted exactly like the character panel counts them.
Public Builds: filter by class August 2, 2026
- NewA Class dropdown at the top of the filters lists all 19 classes — pick Enutrof and you get every Enutrof build. It counts the class itself, so builds using the animated portrait and builds using the static one both show up.
Public Builds: filter out builds that use an item August 1, 2026
- NewThe filter sidebar has a new Forbidden items box next to Equipped items. Add any item to it and every build using it disappears from the list — handy for finding alternatives to gear you don’t own or don’t want. Requiring and forbidding work together: a build has to carry all the required items and none of the forbidden ones.
Stats panel: scrolls are no longer mistaken for exos July 31, 2026
- ImprovedThe checkboxes next to Vitality, Wisdom, Strength, Intelligence, Chance and Agility are the scrolls, but they sat in the same column as the AP/MP/Range exo boxes, under the "EXO" heading — so a lot of players read them as exos. Each one is now an amber +100 pill that states exactly what it does, the characteristics block got its own "Base / Scroll" heading, and hovering any of them explains that a scroll is free and does not spend your characteristic points.
- FixedIn the same panel, the Power value could spill outside the card, and the value pills shifted left or right depending on whether the number had 3 or 4 digits. Both columns now have a fixed width that fits 4 digits, so everything lines up.
Auto-Builder: lock a stat as a hard requirement July 30, 2026
- NewEvery stat row in the Auto-Builder now has a 🔒 lock next to its value. Locked, the value stops being a mere preference and becomes a minimum the build must reach — set 50 Critical and lock it, and only builds with at least 50 Critical come back. If nothing in the whole item database can reach it, the Auto-Builder says so plainly instead of quietly returning a build that falls short, and lists every locked stat so you know what to relax. Stats the game derives from a characteristic are handled properly: locking Lock or Dodge counts what your Agility already gives you, Prospecting counts your Chance, and the parries and reductions count your Wisdom.
Trophies like Impetuous and Barbaric now count their damage July 30, 2026
- FixedTrophies and Dofus granting the less common situational damage stats — % Ranged Damage (Impetuous), % Weapon Damage (Barbaric) and % Melee Damage — were adding nothing at all to the Damage panel. They are now counted correctly, and the fix applies retroactively to builds you had already saved. Equipment carrying those same stats also gets them right in the Forgemage editor and in the Sets browser filters.
Export image now shows every resistance July 30, 2026
- FixedThe 📷 Export image was missing part of the Resistance panel: it only showed the elemental % values, leaving out the fixed resistances and the Melee / Ranged rows. The exported card now mirrors the site panel exactly — 9 rows with both the % and Fix columns. The Damage panel also got its missing Weapon line back.
Fixed class items showing huge wrong stats July 23, 2026
- FixedClass items with per-spell modifiers (like the Honoh Ring, e.g. “Explosive Arrow: +30% Critical”) were wrongly adding gigantic values to Critical / AP / Range in the stats panel. Those spell modifiers are no longer counted as character stats — the affected builds now show correct totals.
Auto-Builder — the optimizer builds your set for you July 23, 2026
- NewA new 🪄 Auto-Builder button in the top bar assembles the best possible set for a goal automatically. Pick an objective (Max Fire/Water/Earth/Air Damage, Tank, or Max Resistance) and it searches the entire item database and equips the mathematically optimal combination — set bonuses included. It runs entirely in your browser, and the result is undoable with Ctrl+Z.
Export your build as an image July 22, 2026
- NewA new 📷 Export button in the top bar copies your build as an image straight to your clipboard — just paste it (Ctrl+V) into Discord. It shows your avatar, class, level, every equipped item and dofus, plus Characteristics, Damage & Resistance panels.
Level filter in the Sets browser July 22, 2026
- NewThe Sets browser (Complete & Partial) now has Lv min / Lv max inputs, just like the item picker — filter sets by their required level instead of only showing those at or below your character level.
How to Use guide July 20, 2026
- NewA How to Use page is now linked in the footer — a quick walkthrough of every feature of the site, available in all 5 languages.
Build helpers: compare, conditions & distance July 19, 2026
- NewItem comparison — every item in the picker has a ⚖ button (next to the favorite star) showing the stat difference against what you have equipped in that slot (green gains, red losses). For rings, it compares against both equipped rings at once.
- ImprovedPicker cards are now aligned consistently — name and stats always start at the top of the card.
- NewCondition check — if your build stops meeting an equipped item’s conditions (e.g. “< 5 MP”), the slot is outlined in red and the tooltip shows a ⚠ warning with the broken condition.
- NewMelee / Ranged toggle in the Spells modal — the damage calculation now applies your % Melee or % Ranged damage according to the selected distance to the target.
- ImprovedStat allocation inputs are larger and have ± stepper arrows — the up arrow automatically stops when you don’t have enough characteristic points left.
Damage totals in Spells July 19, 2026
- ImprovedSpells modal: when a spell or your weapon hits with multiple damage lines, a Σ Total row now shows the summed damage — normal and critical sections each get their own total.
Weapon element mage July 18, 2026
- NewForgemage: a weapon’s neutral damage can now be maged into another element (Earth, Fire, Water or Air) at 85% of its original value — just like in the game. The converted damage shows up in the weapon tooltip and in the Spells modal calculation.
Craft Zone & Spells upgrades July 12, 2026
- NewHide completed toggle in the Craft Zone — finished resources disappear from the list as you farm.
- ImprovedCraft Zone progress is now tracked per item: the amount you own and the “Obtained” checkbox are independent for each equipment, and the “All resources” view automatically discounts what you already gathered.
- NewBase damage toggle in the Spells modal — switch every damage line between your calculated damage and the raw spell values.
- ImprovedSpells modal: damage lines are colored by element and the layout was reworked for readability.
Craft Zone, Spells, Undo/Redo & more June 28, 2026
- NewCraft Zone — a panel below the builder that lists every resource needed to craft your equipped build (or any item you add), with quantity tracking and two views: grouped by item or all resources combined.
- New🔮 Spells modal — see all class spells of your selected avatar, with calculated damage based on your current build, rank selection, and Active / Passive / Summon filters. Your equipped weapon appears as a spell card with its own damage lines.
- NewUndo / Redo for equipment changes (Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y), including dofus, trophies and forgemage edits.
- New✨ Features button in the top bar listing everything the site offers.
- NewTypo-tolerant item search — misspell a name (e.g. “gobbal”) and the picker still finds it.
- NewResist Total filter and stat line in the equipment picker (sum of the 5 elemental % resistances), plus a min/max level range filter.
- ImprovedPublic Builds page is now fully usable on mobile.
- NewLanguage picker on your first visit — the site is available in English, Français, Português, Español and Deutsch.
- FixedSet bonuses granting fixed elemental resistance were wrongly counted as % resistance (e.g. Kimbo set).
Build saving fix June 10, 2026
- FixedRanged / Spell / Melee / Weapon damage bonuses were not being saved with cloud builds.
Inline stat allocation May 29, 2026
- ImprovedCharacteristic points are now allocated directly in the Stats panel — a number input and a +100 scroll checkbox on each stat row, plus a master checkbox to toggle all scrolls at once. The old hover flyout is gone.
- FixedDofus picker filters now work in every language.
Item conditions & level filters May 27 – 28, 2026
- NewItem cards in the picker now show their equip conditions (e.g. “< 100 Vitality”).
- NewLevel badge on item cards; items above your character level are filtered out by default.
- ImprovedSet overlay redesigned to cover the equipment modal; bonus panels gained stat icons.
- ImprovedYour character level is remembered between visits.
Accounts, mobile & dofus picker May 16 – 17, 2026
- NewSign in with Google (Discord and e-mail already supported) to save builds to the cloud.
- ImprovedThe dofus picker now advances to the next empty slot after equipping, so you can fill all six in sequence.
- NewSpell descriptions of dofus and trophies are shown in tooltips, with stat filters in the dofus picker.
- ImprovedFull mobile / responsive layout for the builder.
🚀 Official launch May 15, 2026
- Newdofusbuilds.com goes live! The launch version includes: equipment picker with stat filters, six dofus/trophy slots, automatic set bonuses, forgemage editing per slot (exos included), damage & resistance panels, cloud build saving and sharing, and the Public Builds browser.
- NewItems outside your level requirements are highlighted with a red border.
